International Women in Aviation Conference – Dallas, Texas

A high-powered group of women gathered in Dallas, Texas March 8-10 for the 23rd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference. Civilian and military pilots, mechanics, air traffic controllers, engineers, and more filled the Hilton Anatole with an incredible energy and camaraderie. I was fortunate to be a part of the Author’s Table for my book Flight Emergency, which was an honor and a lot of fun! If you click on a photo, a gallery feature will enable a slideshow of larger images.

Visit the Women in Aviation, International web site for more information on this outstanding organization that promotes women in all areas of aviation. Men, you’re welcome to join too!

I was at the WAI conference in Dallas this year and have a few pictures of the P&W Engine however my computer autocropted the sign that had its information off of my picture. Do you know what its designation number?

    Thanks,
    Holly

    Hi Holly,

I looked through my photos and I do have another with that engine! It appears it’s a PW207. I’ll send you my photo via email so you can take a look yourself.

    Thank you and happy flying,
    Reya

    Dear Ms. Kemply,

I was wondering if you can provide more information on who the other lady in the picture with yourself and Mr. Shul is, and whether she may also be a prominent “International Woman in Aviation” such as yourself. There is no mention of her role or association with aviation , and was curious whom she may be, as I know Mr. Shul supports all women connected with aviation.

    Sincerely,
    C. Hayward
